JAVEL AQUA shock self-dissolving chlorine tablets are intended for water disinfection drinking water from wells and water reservoirs. As a product with very high biocidal effectiveness, they eliminate microorganisms contained in water that cause gastrointestinal disorders.

Disinfection of drinking water in wells using chlorinated tablets is the cheapest and most common method of disinfecting drinking water in wells and other reservoirs. This method is used both by private individuals to disinfect their own water intakes and by waterworks.
Disinfection of drinking water in a well should be carried out when:
- the water is cloudy
- the taste of the water has changed
- the water has an unpleasant smell
- after a flood or flooding of the area where the well is located
- no one did not use the well for a long period
- food poisoning occurred among users
- after digging the well - before putting it into use
- after repairs to the well, e.g. installing or repairing the pump

Application: Before disinfection, measure the water level in the well to determine the appropriate amount of disinfectant.
Disinfection is carried out as follows:
- Remove dirty water from the well, clean the bottom of the well (fill with clean sand or gravel).
- Disinfect water drawing devices (1% solution - 2 tablets per 0.5L of water).
- Fill concrete gaps, wait until the water fills the well again to a constant level.
- Pour the preparation in accordance with the dose given below , mix and leave for about 24 hours, wait until the water loses the smell of chlorine (you can choose water or add citric acid, which effectively eliminates the smell of chlorine), submit the water sample for testing.
Precautions should be taken when disinfecting - use gloves, protect your eyes and protect the disinfection site and the agents used against children.
Dosage:
- Normal conditions (prophylaxis): dissolve 1 tablet in approx. 600L of water (2 ppm in 1L).
- Extreme conditions (e.g. flood): dissolve 2-3 tablets in approx. 300L of water (4-6 ppm in 1L).
Note: Disinfection of drinking water does not remove chemical contaminants contained in in the water. Water from untested sources should always be treated as microbiologically contaminated.
