L-ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is an excellent pH regulator of swimming pool water

L-ascorbic acid is great for discoloring pool water. Due to its iron assimilation properties, vitamin C reduces iron ions, which are responsible for the ugly color of water. Thanks to this, we are able to obtain crystalline, azure water quickly and cheaply. Importantly, a relatively small amount of this compound is enough to achieve great results. It is also important that such effects can be achieved naturally, without adding chemicals.

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) neutralizes chlorine

One gram vitamin C can neutralize about 4 liters of water with one part of chlorine per million parts of water (PPM).

We add vitamin C in the proportion of 50-70 g per 1 m3 of water. Mix the vitamin with water and then pour it all into the pool. The operation, depending on the pool, takes several minutes and the water is almost azure.

If there are any impurities left on the bottom or on the surface, we can easily remove them with a fish net or another strainer or net.

Important:

To maintain the effect of clean and clear water, you should regularly test the pH of the water and the degree chlorination.

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) lowers the Ph level - check its level and raise or lower it.

Keeping the pool water clear requires monitoring Ph and water chlorine at a minimum every 3 days or if used continuously, even every evening.

Vitamin Cis used to support chemicals and strengthen the cleansing process. It does not replace swimming pool chemicals and certainly does not have such good properties disinfectants as appropriately prepared, professional preparations.
