✅ The fetal heart rate (FHR) is extremely important and is the basis for checking whether the fetus is healthy.

Recording changes in FHR helps detect signs of fetal hypoxia. Home fetal monitoring mainly involves listening to the fetal heartbeat and checking for FHR changes, which help greatly increase fetal safety. Reference fetal heart rate range: 110bpm-160bpm

✅ The fetus moves in the pregnant woman's belly and therefore the fetal heartbeat detection position may change.

Depending on the stage of pregnancy, the pulse can be felt in different places on the belly. You should patiently and calmly determine the position of the baby in the belly.

1. Early phase - before the 24th week of pregnancy, the fetal heartbeat may be detected in the middle of the abdomen or in its area below the navel.
2. Middle phase after the 26th week of pregnancy, the fetal heartbeat may be detected most clearly at the fetal back. Fetal movement is usually the movement of the fetal limbs. When fetal movement is often felt on the right side of the abdomen, the fetal heartbeat can usually be detected on the left side of the abdomen and vice versa.
3. Final Phase - Head position and buttock position may also affect fetal heartbeat detection. If the fetus is in the head position, the fetal heartbeat can be detected on the left or right side below the navel. If the fetus is in the breech position, the fetal heartbeat can be detected on the left or right side above the navel.

The fetus will respond to a change in your position, e.g. from sitting to lying down. Activity may also be triggered by the mother's strong emotions, sounds that reach the baby, and food (e.g. sweets).
