Indications:

Hasco marshmallow syrup is a traditional medicinal, plant product that is indicated for use to relieve irritation of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract accompanied by cough. Perfect for use in the case of sore throat and larynx, in the so-called dry cough, bronchitis, hoarseness, angina, bronchial and esophageal catarrh and residual bronchial secretions. Intended for children over 6 years of age and adults.

Properties:

Marshmallow root is a mucilage material used to prepare antitussive drugs. It is a rich source of mucous substances and flavonoids, including tiliroside, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Marshmallow roots are most often used to make marshmallow syrup, which helps with coughs and colds and has a protective effect on the upper respiratory tract. Marshmallow roots can also be used to prepare a macerate used to treat irritations and inflammations of the mucous membrane of the mouth, throat and esophagus. Marshmallow roots are also used to produce herbal mixtures used to treat inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, dry cough and angina. Marshmallow mucus softens and coats congested and swollen mucous membranes of the throat and larynx, thus providing an antitussive effect. It has a protective and soothing effect on irritations of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat. However, in the case of retained bronchial secretions, it significantly facilitates its liquefaction and expectoration.

Ingredients:

Marshmallow 100 g of syrup contains: - marshmallow root macerate - 35.9 g (equivalent to 5 g of marshmallow root) - extractant: mixture of water and ethanol (47:1), acid benzoic acid 0.1 g. Ethanol content (760 g/l) not more than 1.1% (m/v). Excipients: benzoic acid - 1 g, sucrose - 64 g.

Application:

Adults and children over 12 years of age - 15 ml three times a day. Children under 12 years of age: 5 ml three times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose for consumption in during the day.

Important information: The syrup is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. Due to the content of benzoic acid, it should not be used in patients with bronchial asthma. The medicine contains sucrose - if the patient has previously been diagnosed with intolerance to some sugars, before taking the medicine the patient should contact a doctor. The medicine contains 186 mg of ethanol (alcohol) in a single dose for adults, which is equivalent to 4.7 ml of beer or approx. 2 ml of wine. Due to the alcohol content, it is not recommended to be administered to patients with liver disease, epilepsy and alcoholism. The product should be stored in a closed package, at a temperature not higher than 25ºC and out of the reach and sight of children. Protect from light.
