Mucosolvan Tablets is a drug for adults used in acute and chronic diseases of the lungs and bronchi. The active substance of Mucosolvan is ambroxol hydrochloride, this ingredient increases the secretion of mucus in the respiratory tract, thus facilitating its expectoration and soothing the cough.

Mucosolvan 30 mg tablets for wet cough are used in the case of diseases involving impaired mucus secretion. and difficulties in its transport. The absorption of ambroxol hydrochloride is extremely fast.

Composition:

1 tablet contains:

• active substance: ambroxol hydrochloride 30 mg,
• excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate.

Indications:

Acute and chronic lung diseases and bronchi, leading to impaired mucus secretion and difficulty in expectoration.

Action:

Increasing mucus secretion in the respiratory tract.

Dosage:

• Adults: 1 tablet 3 times a day.
• The effect of the medicine can be increased by taking 2 tablets 2 times a day.
• The tablets can be taken with or without meals, with some water. liquid.
• The medicine should not be used before bedtime

Contraindications:

• Allergy to ambroxol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• If you have a hereditary intolerance to any of the ingredients of this medicine.

Side effects:

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common (they may affects no more than 1 in 10 people):

Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):

• hypersensitivity reactions,

Interactions:

• Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
• Ambroxol increases the concentration of antibiotics (amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin) in bronchopulmonary secretions and sputum.
• The drug should not be administered simultaneously with antitussive drugs (e.g. codeine), as a dangerous accumulation of secretions may occur bronchial tubes due to weakened cough reflex. Antitussive drugs by inhibiting the cough reflex make it difficult to expectorate liquefied mucus.
• No clinically significant adverse interactions with other drugs have been demonstrated.

Warnings and precautions:

• If you have impaired kidney function or severe liver failure, seek medical advice before taking this medicine.
• Severe skin reactions have been reported with the use of ambroxol hydrochloride. If you develop a rash (including lesions on the mucous membranes, e.g. mouth, throat, nose, eyes, genitals), stop using the medicine and contact your doctor immediately.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine drug.
• The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy, especially in the first three months of pregnancy.
• The drug is not recommended for use in breast-feeding women because ambroxol hydrochloride passes into breast milk.

Driving and using machines

• There is no evidence that the medicine affects the ability to drive or use machines.
• No studies have been conducted on the effect of the drug on the ability to drive or use machines.

The drug contains lactose

• If you have been previously diagnosed with intolerance to some sugars, the patient should contact your doctor before taking the medicine.
• One tablet contains 171 mg of lactose, which corresponds to 684 mg of lactose in the highest recommended daily dose, i.e. 4 tablets.
• Patients with galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine.
