Hydrocort 5 mg/g ointment 1g x 10 sachets

Indications:

Hydrocort is a medicinal product in the form of an ointment intended for topical application to the skin in the symptomatic treatment of non-infected skin diseases such as:

• atopic dermatitis, acute inflammation of allergic origin, acute allergic or inflammatory skin diseases,
• seborrheic dermatitis,
• reactions after insect bites,
• burns Io and IIo,
• erythema multiforme,
• psoriasis (long-term, hairy skin),
• lichen planus with severe pruritus, lichen erythematosus,
• skin drug reactions,
• neurodermatitis .

Properties:

Hydrocort ointment is a medicine that contains hydrocortisone acetate, which has anti-inflammatory, anti-itching and vasoconstrictive properties.

Ingredients:

The active substance is: hydrocortisone acetate (Hydrocortisoni acetas).

1 g of ointment contains: 5 mg of hydrocortisone acetate.

Excipients: white vaseline, glycerol monostearate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), purified water.

Application:

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

• Apply a thin layer of ointment to cleansed skin 2-3 times a day.
• If improvement occurs, the dosage frequency is changed to 2-3 times a week.
• Wash your hands after applying the medicine.

The medicine should not be used for longer than 10-14 days.

Important information:

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation.

Do not use: in skin infections of viral, fungal or bacterial origin, in skin cancer or pre-cancerous conditions, in inflammation of the skin around the mouth, in rosacea or acne vulgaris, on wounds or ulcers, on the skin around the eyelids (risk of glaucoma), in people with Buerger's disease, vasculitis obliterans.
