Tears Naturale II (3 mg + 1 mg)/ ml, eye drops, solution, 15 ml

Indications

The preparation is used used as a tear replacement in dry eye diseases, such as keratoconjunctivitis sicca, Sjögren's syndrome, and in the prevention and treatment of ailments occurring in these diseases. The preparation is indicated for the temporary reduction of burning and irritation resulting from dry eyes; as an agent protecting against irritation and temporarily reducing the feeling of discomfort associated with mild eye irritation or exposure to sun and wind.

Composition

1 ml of solution contains: active substances: 3 mg hypromellose and 1 mg of dextran 70, excipients: polydronium chloride, borax, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid to obtain the appropriate pH, purified water.

Action

Moisturizing, reducing discomfort associated with eye irritation.

Dosage

Usually, 1 or 2 drops are instilled into the eye as needed. Tilt your head back. Gently pull the lower eyelid with a clean finger to create a "pocket" between the eyelid and the eye. The medicine should be instilled in this place. Do not touch the eye or eyelid, surrounding tissues or any surfaces with the tip of the dropper. The bottle should be thrown away one month after first opening.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to hypromellose, dextran or any of the excipients.
