Indications:

The probiotic drug Enterol is indicated for use, among others, in:

• Treatment of acute infectious diarrhea
• Preventing diarrhea associated with the use of antibiotics
• Recurrent diarrhea caused by Clostridium difficile infection, as an addition to treatment with vancomycin or metronidazole
• Preventing diarrhea associated with enteral nutrition
• Preventing traveler's diarrhea

Probiotics are live microorganisms that, when taken in appropriate amounts, have beneficial effects on the health of the host.

Properties:

Enterol is an oral probiotic drug containing the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745. One of its main advantages is its versatility, which means that Enterol:

• restores the balance of the intestinal microbiota;
• can be used by both adults and children;
• can be used both to treat and prevent diarrhea;

• Unlike antibiotics, it does not treat only diarrhea caused by bacteria, but also protozoa or viruses (including rotaviruses).

The action of the Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 yeast contained in Enterol® is to strengthen the digestive tract flora and protect the intestinal epithelium. This means that by using it, we help the necessary intestinal bacteria rebuild and protect them against the negative impact of pathogenic microorganisms and against destruction resulting from the use of antibiotics.

Composition:

INCI: One Enterol capsule contains: - 250 mg of freeze-dried Saccharomyces boulardii yeast, 32.5 mg of lactose monohydrate.

Usage:

• acute infectious diarrhea: 1 to 2 capsules/sachets daily, for 1 week
• post-antibiotic diarrhea: 1 to 2 capsules/sachets daily during and 7 days after antibiotic therapy
• diarrhea caused by C. difficile infection: 4 capsules/sachets daily for up to 4 weeks
• diarrhea associated with enteral nutrition: 1 to 2 capsules/sachets daily
• travelers' diarrhea: 1 to 4 capsules/sachets a day 5 days before the trip and during the trip

The Enterol capsule should be swallowed with a glass of water.

The capsule can be opened and its contents poured into a small amount of sweetened drink, food or added to a baby bottle (administration recommended for children under 6 years of age).
