Before use: Read the instructions and test adhesion on a small area.

The surface should be clean, dry and free from dirt. For best results adhesion on smooth, non-porous materials, lightly sand before use. The ideal application temperature range is 10 to 35 ºC. After complete hardening, the adhesive temporarily withstands temperatures from -40 to 93 ºC.

Not recommended for use on acrylic, vinyl, foam, polyethylene and polypropylene.

Application

Follow the instructions for best results!

  1. Unscrew the cap. Pierce the tube seal using a cap with a needle.
  2. Apply Shoe-Goo II directly to the surface to be glued or repaired, spread evenly with an ice cube* or a wet finger (gloved) over the surface so that it adheres to the surface.
  3. Full hardening takes 24-48 hours. Depending on the substrate and temperature, maximum bond strength may be achieved after 3 days.

For repairing rubber and non-porous surfaces: lightly sand the area to be glued, wipe with alcohol and leave to dry. Moisten with water, apply glue and roughen the surfaces.

Waterproofing and protection: Apply in thin layers (spread with a disposable tool or ice cube) to obtain a thick coating, allowing each layer to set for 3-4 hours. For sealing rubber and non-porous surfaces: lightly sand the area to be glued, wipe with alcohol and leave to dry. Moisten with water and apply in thin layers as described above.

* Ice can be used as a coating to facilitate spreading over the surface.

DURABLE!!!

Shoe-Goo is perfect for repairing old, torn, worn-out shoes AND for adding a layer of protection to new shoes, and the clear drying formula means the adhesive will protect your shoes in an almost invisible way. Perfect for skaters, athletes and other outdoorsy people.

For most skaters, the only thing that wears out faster than their skateboards are their skate shoes. This can be an expensive and inconvenient problem if your shoes tear out at the same time you finally start to feel comfortable in them. With Shoe-Goo you can avoid this problem by securing new shoes or repairing old ones. Shoe-Goo helps you save money without forcing you to give up doing tricks on your board.

NEW SHOES apply Shoe-Goo in thin layers and smooth it evenly with the surface. Huge balls of dried glue certainly won't help you when you're trying to learn tricks.

WORN SHOES: If your shoe has holes that go right through or mostly through the material, we recommend using a fabric patch in combination with adhesive to ensure the highest level of comfort and the most durable hold.

BUBBLE REPAIRS

For projects where it is necessary to glue two separate surfaces, such as torn soles, apply Shoe-Goo as directed above, then clamp the surfaces to ensure a solid connection.

Clinching

When gluing e.g. the sole of a shoe (as in the photo), it is recommended to wrap the shoe tightly with insulating tape for 24-48 hours after gluing.

For material attachments other than shoes, a standard clamp can be used to connect the surfaces.

* Failure to tighten the surface will result in a weak bond that will not withstand wear and tear. Follow application instructions.

Curing time: Full cure should take 24-48 hours. Depending on the substrate and temperature, the maximum bond strength may be achieved after 3 days.

Cleaning: Clean uncured glue with alcohol, spirit or a dry cloth. The hardened material can be removed with white spirit or by cutting or scraping.

Water resistance: yes.

Temperature range: Once fully cured the glue temporarily withstands temperatures from -40 to 82 ºC.

UV resistant: No.

For use on: leather, canvas, suede, rubber, fabric and more!

Not suitable for:

What are the differences between Shoe-Goo Original and Shoe-Goo II?

Both Shoe-Goo Original and Shoe- Goo II are manufactured by Eclectic Products in the USA, and both adhesives have hundreds of applications. Both adhesives offer extremely high adhesive strength while maintaining high flexibility and waterproof seals. In most cases, these two versions of adhesives could be used interchangeably and there would be no noticeable difference. In fact, adhesives are very similar in many ways, but they have a few key differences that you should consider before choosing the best option for you:

- Shoe Goo Original contains toluene and other solvents that are harmful to your health , are used incorrectly. Shoe-Goo II does not contain solvents. *Still, both versions should be used in a well-ventilated area!!

- Shoe-Goo Original works well on vinyl materials, Shoe-Goo II does not.

- Shoe-Goo Original itself is not UV resistant (it can be painted to achieve this effect), Shoe-Goo II is UV resistant.

- Shoe-Goo Original can be can be painted, Shoe-Goo II cannot be painted.

- Shoe-Goo II has a higher maximum temperature resistance than Shoe-Goo Original (93C vs 82C). Both glues have the same minimum resistance (-40C).

- Both versions of the glue have a very high level of elasticity, although Shoe-Goo Original has the highest level (900%).

- The viscosity of Shoe Goo II is slightly lower than the original formula and does not peel as quickly. This allows for a longer working time to distribute the product in all the necessary places.

- The sizes of the bottles in which each version of Shoe-Goo is offered are slightly different.

- The application process of both adhesives is the same.
