GX1400 GPS/E Eclipse Series is an affordable, compact Class D VHF radio with a built-in 66-channel WAAS GPS receiver. Designed from durable cast iron, offering full operation with 25W of power for both professionals and amateur sailors. A GPS receiver has been built into the front panel of the radio, so to transmit DSC there will be no need to connect an external GPS, and we will avoid tangled wires. Once connected, the radio is ready to use and work - calling DSC, asking for a position, navigating to a waypoint, and navigating to a DSC emergency call require only a few steps. The radio is made in accordance with the IPX8 waterproof standard, which guarantees operation of the radio when immersed to a depth of 1.5 m for up to 30 minutes. The use of noise reduction technology ensures sound purity and suppresses background noise (e.g. machine engine noise or wind noise during transmission). ECLIPSE meets the ITU M-493-13 Class D DSC standard and has a built-in separate dedicated receiver channel 70 for receiving DSC calls. ECLIPSE GX1400 has been enriched with the so-called soft buttons with user-programmable functions for easy menu operation.

ITU-R M493-11 Class D DSC (Digital Selective Calling)

Eclispe meets ITU-R M493 Class D VHF with a separate receiver channel 70 that allows you to receive DSC distress calls regardless of which channel you are listening on. The DSC DISTRESS function, when activated, transmits a MAYDAY digital signal containing the vessel identification, longitude/latitude and time (with GPS connected). Possible additional calls – Individual, Emergency, Security, Position Report, Dispatched. Additional functions, including calling the DSC test and selecting the menu for turning on the Auto DSC channel.

Large clear display

No doubts - with a large clear display at your disposal (size 31 mm x 55 mm) you will not make any mistakes when reading the information. Contrast and brightness can be adjusted to the current situation, especially when it is not possible to mount the radio directly in front of the user.
