Hydrocortisone cream Hydrocortisonum Ziaja is an over-the-counter drug that has a broad effect on the skin to relieve inflammation, itching (itching), redness (constricts blood vessels).

Hydrocortisonum Ziaja is indicated for the age group 12 years and older, as well as adults in the case of allergic skin lesions, such as contact eczema.

What does Hydrocortisonum Ziaja contain?

The active substance is hydrocortisone acetate. 1 gram of cream contains 5 mg of hydrocortisone acetate.

The other ingredients are: cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, propylene glycol (E 1520), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), macrogol cetostearyl ether 20, light liquid paraffin, sorbitan stearate (type I), white Vaseline, purified water.

Inflammatory skin changes of allergic origin. It is also used in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis.

dosage

The drug Hydrocortisonum Ziaja is used for a short period of time - no longer than 7 days.

How often do you take this medicine during the day?

People from 12 years of age and adults: 1-2 times a day on cleansed skin affected by allergic lesions.

In the case of skin, e.g. hands and arms, it can be used for up to 7 days, in the case of the face, no longer than 3 days.

contraindications

The medicine is not used in the case of:

• if you are allergic to hydrocortisone acetate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
• if you have a bacterial skin infection (e.g. impetigo), viral infection (e.g. herpes, chickenpox), fungal (e.g. candidiasis) or systemic mycosis
• if you have acne vulgaris or rosacea (redness, flushing and acne-like rashes)
• if you have atrophy (loss) of the skin,
• damaged skin and open wounds
• in the anal and genital area.

The cream contains ingredients that may cause contact dermatitis, such as cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol. The medicinal product also contains propylene glycol, which may cause skin irritation. The cream contains ingredients such as methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause delayed allergic reactions in some patients.

Do not apply the medicine to healthy skin, avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Use with caution on the face, armpits and groin areas.

Do not use this cream under an occlusive dressing, as it increases the absorption of the drug into the systemic circulation, which may cause side effects of systemic origin.
