In recent years, they have become a popular cut of swim shorts. The name "boardshort" comes from water sports practiced using a board, such as surfing.

FOR SURFING UNDER 1 HOUR. If you're surfing for less than an hour, you need shorts that won't come off every time you pass underwater. Shorter shorts provide greater freedom of movement, recommended for bodyboarding. The shorts dry quite quickly to avoid sand sticking to them.

Your figure should also be taken into account when choosing. Here are some tips that may be helpful. If you are rather muscular on your chest and legs, choose short shorts that will emphasize your figure. If you are rather slim and slender, choose longer boardshorts!
