ICE TECHNOLOGIES disc significantly reduces heat build-up in the braking system, ensuring consistently high braking performance even on the steepest descents. SHIMANO's CENTER LOCK mounting system makes mounting and removing discs quick and easy thanks to the spine mounting and locking ring design.

The SHIMANO SM-RT70 brake disc belongs to the SLX group and therefore already has a lot of know-how -how in terms of development. Here you will find a ICE TECHNOLOGIES sandwich construction made of layers of stainless steel on the outside with an aluminum core, which better absorbs heat during braking and lowers surface temperatures by up to 100°C.

These properties, Taking the entire system into account (including ICE TECH pads), the result is a stable brake with consistently high performance that you can rely on in any situation. Fading and wear are also reduced.

The brake disc is compatible with both organic (resin) and sintered (metal) brake pads. It is mounted on hubs with central locking.
