FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Frequently Asked Questions:
- Is kinesio taping effective? The effects include reducing pain due to lifting the skin and eliminating the irritation of pain receptors . That's why patients often call kinesiology tapes pain tapes
- Can you apply the tapes yourself? Of course, if you have the necessary knowledge, you can use the tapes yourself. Above, we have prepared a short guide for you on how to apply the tape. However, please remember that if you lack appropriate knowledge, it is best to seek specialist advice on this topic.
- How to prepare the skin before applying the tape? The skin should be dry and free from any liquids and creams or oils. In order to optimally prepare the surface for kinesio taping, wash the skin with clean water and soap and then wipe the entire surface with alcohol gauze. Small amounts of body hair will not interfere with the effectiveness or adhesion of the tape. However, areas with significant hair should be prepped, i.e. shaved, for best results and to minimize pain when the patch is removed. Remember not to use the tape directly on damaged skin, including scratches, cuts, sunburns or any type of rash or irritation
- How to remove the tape painlessly? We recommend removing the tape while taking a shower . Rinse the area of the body with the tape on under a warm stream of water for a few minutes. Warm water makes it easier to remove the tight tape. After soaking, gently rub any oil or baby oil into the tape for a few more minutes. Once the tape is properly soaked and the oil has been applied, start peeling the tape off.
- Can tapes cause allergies? Our tapes use hypoallergenic glue, which should not cause allergic reactions. The occurrence of a rash after using the patches is very rare and often related to the use of inappropriate cosmetics. However, there is a very small percentage of the population, especially women, who may experience skin irritation. This is due to delicate skin, especially in certain areas of the body, which is prone to redness. In such a case, you should stop using this therapy method.
