Body temperature varies from person to person and changes throughout the day. For this reason, it is suggested to know the normal, healthy forehead temperature to correctly determine the temperature. Body temperature is approximately 35.5-37.8°C (95.9-100°F). To determine whether a fever is present, compare the detected temperature to the person's normal temperature. An increase above the reference body temperature of 1°C (1°F) or more generally indicates a fever.

How to avoid mistakes when measuring temperature?

Measuring the temperature should only be started when the device has been at the same temperature at which the measurement will be carried out for 30 minutes. Otherwise, the temperature difference may affect the measurement result.

Before measurement, make sure that there is no sweat, cosmetics or oily stains on the patient's forehead.

Before use, make sure the thermometer sensor is clean.

During the measurement, the patient's face cannot be directed straight towards the sun, air conditioner or heater - this will affect the measurement result. Measure the temperature in a room with as constant a temperature as possible.

The patient should not perform intense physical activities, take a bath or eat 30 minutes before the measurement.

Measuring temperature step by step:

1. Point the thermometer sensor towards the center of the patient's forehead. Bring the thermometer to the forehead, no more than 15 cm away, without touching the forehead.

2. Press the ON button. The thermometer will test its functions, measure the temperature, and the measurement result will be displayed on the LCD screen within 2 seconds.

3. The result will be highlighted in one of three colors:

• Green – Normal temperature (35,537.3°C/95.999.1°F)

• Orange – Mild fever (37.438°C/99.3100.4°F)

• Red – Fever (38.143°C/100.6109.4°F)
