Oxygen saturation is the percentage of oxyhemoglobin (HbO2) combined with oxygen against total combined hemoglobin (Hb). This is an important physiological parameter of respiration and circulation.

The oxygen saturation of arterial blood in the normal human body is 98%. Oxygen saturation is an important indicator of the oxygen status in the human body. In general, normal oxygen saturation values ​​cannot be lower than 94%. If the measured oxygen saturation values ​​are lower than 94%, it is considered insufficient oxygen. Pulse rate is the number of times your heart rate beats per minute. Generally, everyone's heart rate is between 60 and 90 beats per minute. The perfusion index (PI) usually reflects the perfusion status of the limb of the patient being tested and also shows the detection precision of the instrument; that is, the test can still be performed even in conditions of low or poor perfusion. The normal human body's PI is 3% or greater.

A finger pulse oximeter measures the blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate of the human body through the finger artery. It is used in many places.

Saturation is marked with the Spo2 symbol and is given as a percentage. Its normal value in a healthy person is 93-99%
