Gelatum Aluminii Phosphorici is a mint-flavored drug that has an antacid, protective and astringent effect on the hydrochloric acid of gastric juice. The suspension form facilitates even distribution of the medicinal product on the mucous membrane, which promotes its natural healing and regeneration process.

The aluminum phosphate contained in the drug creates a protective layer that covers the mucous membrane of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. As a result of the neutralization reaction, aluminum chloride is formed, which has an astringent and anti-inflammatory effect. Peppermint oil contained in the drug provides a slight antispasmodic effect in digestive disorders.

Indications

Treatment of ailments in the course of:

• gastric and duodenal ulcers (auxiliary or ad hoc in case of ailments),
• hyperacidity of gastric juice,
• esophageal-gastric reflux,
• heartburn.

Gelatum aluminii phosphorici herbal medicine - composition

100 g of suspension contains:

• active substance: aluminum phosphate 4.5 g, li>
• excipients: sucrose, sodium benzoate, ethyl hydroxybenzoate, propyl hydroxybenzoate, glycerol 85%, peppermint oil, purified water.

Dosage

• It is recommended to use the drug 3 times a day in the amount a teaspoon (in more severe cases a tablespoon) before eating or 1-2 hours after a meal.

• Using Gelatum Alumini Phosphorici together with tetracyclines, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, iron, oral anticoagulants, digoxin (a medicine used in heart diseases), vitamins may cause their absorption disturbance.
• A break of at least an hour should be maintained before taking aluminum phosphate suspension or 2 hours after taking it. The medicine should be administered before a meal or 1-2 hours after it.

• Children under 6 years of age, especially those who are dehydrated or have renal failure, should be careful when using the preparation.
• People with diabetes should be careful when using use of the drug due to the sucrose content (the drug contains 40 g of sugar in 100 g of suspension); If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
