Posterisan is a drug in the form of a rectal ointment that supports the natural defensive reaction to infections. The ointment is used for itching, oozing and burning in the anal area caused by hemorrhoids, fissures and clefts (ragadas) of the anus and eczema.

Composition:

Substance the active ingredient of the drug is 166.7 mg of a standardized suspension of Escherichia coli bacterial culture (killed with 3.3 mg of liquid phenol). The suspension includes cellular components and metabolic products from 330 minutes of Escherichia coli bacteria killed and preserved with phenol.

Excipients: lanolin, yellow petrolatum.

Indications:

Posterisan ointment is used for itching, oozing and burning in the anal area caused by hemorrhoids, fissures and clefts (ragadas) of the anus and eczema.

Properties:

The action of Posterisan ointment is to stimulate the body's immune system and support the natural defense reaction to infections. Consequently, the medicine relieves itching and burning.

The ointment is administered rectally. The medicine can be stored at room temperature, which will make application easier.
